Talascend is currently seeking a Training Instructor for a contract opportunity in Rochester Hills, Michigann

SUMMARY:

Present training programs to customers, distributors and Client personnel.  n

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Provide technical training for customers, distributors and employees. n
•    Teach Client curriculum, the classes will contain the following:n
o    Power Point Presentations with Objectives and tasksn
o    Detailed Instructor outlinesn
o    Student outlines and handoutsn
o    Objective based exercisesn
o    Pre-test and post testn
o    Use of simulators or machine tools n
•    Report discrepancies between product and documentation to appropriate departmentsn
•    Suggest improvements to the class curriculum. n
•    Prepare and maintain classrooms, training simulators and laboratory and the training office area to ensure a “Best in Class” training experience for the students.n
•    Provide feedback to improve Client's employee culture and customer experience.n
•    Provide support to customers and Client departments by answering technical questions and advising appropriate action to resolve a problem.n
•    Reliable, consistent attendance required.n

REQUIREMENTS:

•    Proficient communication, presentation skills and computer skills.n
•    Ability to read, write and speak fluent English skillsn
•    Ability to learn new technical and troubleshooting skills. n
•    Requires excellent oral and written communication skillsn
•    Understand basic Electrical, Mechanical and Pneumatic theoryn
•    Proficient Electronic and Basic Electrical and Mechanical print readingn
•    Ability to complete assigned projects as scheduled. The completed project(s) must conform to specifications as defined by project team leadership and/or  Training Department Management. n
•    Ability to interface with other technical writers and instructors for the purposes of project coordination, continuity and completion.n
•    Ability to identify process inefficiencies and suggests solutions to eliminate them. n
•    Associate degree in Education, Instructional Design, technical related field, or equivalent experience.  Bachelor degree preferredn
•    Experience with production automation process operations and functionality.n
Required to review technical documentation, present material to students in the classroom and respond to questions from the studentsn
•    Requires occasional overtime, to meet customer requirements.n
•    Requires up to 50% traveln
•    May perform duties in a factory environment with varying temperatures.n
•    Classes are taught at Client Facilities, Customer Facilities, and Technical Schools.n
