Are you an expert Site Manager with a solid background in plant operations and maintenance? This is an opportunity to be part of one of the world’s biggest players in wind turbine construction, with over 1GW of installed capacity in South Africa. Oversee the operations of various wind farms and grow your experience and career in the renewable energy sector while you contribute to energy-efficient solutions!

The ideal candidate will have a BTech/BEng in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering and excellent technical knowledge of major plant equipment, wind farm systems and processes. You will need to be able to manage complex processes, work independently as well as collaborate with and manage a team, have an organized and systematic work approach and have really high resilience when it comes to complicated and frustrating issues. Super OHS Act knowledge, exceptional reporting and communication skills, and the ability to use ERP/CMMS systems are a MUST!

You will be responsible in the areas of reporting, planning and budgeting, supporting OHS, operations, and material and contract management. Key operational tasks include acting as the main point of contact for the Service Technicians and Field Operation Manager, analyzing plant requirements and planning maintenance, managing WO creation, planning, closing in Maximo, SAP and SAAM, engaging with all relevant suppliers for failed components, and assisting with asset improvement projects. You will need to develop efficient and cost-effective service schedules, coordinate activities on various wind farms, ensure effective communication of technician activities, keep the Field Operations Manager informed regarding important resource issues, and provide insights into the budgeting process for the plant’s AOP. In terms of contract and materials management, you will be supporting the management of stock levels and purchases, ensuring plant-based contractors are fulfilling their required performance standards and regularly checking material availability. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
