Eastridge Workforce Solutions is currently seeking experienced, motivated Road Construction Inspectors in New Albany, IN for a full-service consulting engineering firm that provides services economic development, landscape architecture and planning, site engineering, stormwater, survey, transportation, wastewater and water services. 

Road Construction Inspector Pay: $28-$40/hour, based on experience

Road Construction Inspector Responsibilities:

Serve the project owner as an on-site representative

Maintain a daily report of construction inspection activities

Complete financial administration duties of the contract, including creating, reviewing and/or approving project pay estimates and change orders and assisting the project owner with budget control

Ensure the project is built according to the plans and specifications

Examine finished installations to ensure conformity to standards

Perform and/or observe asphalt, soils, concrete and other material testing per INDOT standards

Assist with the coordination of utility relocation efforts

Serve as the liaison between the contractor and design firm

Serve as the liaison between the project owner and the general public by attending or leading public meetings, addressing public concerns and/or assisting with travel detour routes and closure notices

Host routine progress coordination and scheduling meetings as needed

Road Construction Inspector Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or a high school diploma with related work experience

3-5 years of relevant, progressive experience in the civil engineering or construction management industry

Knowledge and understanding of water/wastewater treatment facility operations and construction

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong ability to work with a team
