About The Role:

Goldstar is an industry leading primary ticket sales marketplace that is dedicated to making live entertainment more accessible. We work directly with thousands of theaters, comedians, musicians, magicians, food festivals and all kinds of live entertainment to connect folks that want to go out with interesting things they may not even know exist. Besides our apps and website, we power a number of other large “name brand” marketplaces including TodayTix regionally. 

We are looking for an experienced Partnerships Manager to join our Partnerships team. This position will focus on developing strong relationships with our Theatre and Performing Arts partners in the Los Angeles and Orange County market. Please note: This is a remote position that requires in person meetings with partners. Qualified candidates must be based in the greater Los Angeles or Orange County Areas and be willing to visit partners in LA, OC, and IE.

This Partnerships Manager position focuses specifically on managing Theater and Performing Arts  partnerships in LA and OC. It combines managing a rolodex of existing partnerships alongside identifying, securing and developing new partnerships.  The candidate will be responsible for building these partner relationships, effectively communicating the Goldstar and TodayTix value propositions, making strategic pricing and promotional recommendations and growing ticket sales and revenue. They will report to the head of the theater team. Experience in theater marketing and a knowledge of the regional Theater industry is a plus, but not required.

The Partnership Manager will ensure that a win-win relationship is derived from the partnership by maximizing sales for both the partner and Goldstar, sharing best practices, answering business questions, identifying opportunities and developing strategic goals and objectives. We are looking for someone who is passionate about live entertainment and is motivated by the excitement of growing our business. The role requires a combination of customer management experience, sales and pricing expertise.

What You'll Do:

  • Grow business by developing trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers in each account, and by negotiating competitive offers, timelines, promotional opportunities, as well as identifying upsell opportunities
  • Identify, pitch and secure brand new business opportunities within the Theatre category
  • Meet established monthly goals for ticket sales, revenue, and development
  • Plan, develop, and pitch successful pricing strategies for our partners
  • Manage and monitor partner inventory and expanding where needed
  • Implement marketing and promotional plans
  • Draft and present proposals to partner on better ways to market and sell tickets on the Goldstar and TodayTix platforms.
  • This is a remote position but must be able to take meetings in Los Angeles and Orange County.  Living in the LA/OC market is critical.

  • Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • A strong knowledge of the arts and entertainment industry
  • Superior networking skills
  • Self-starter who works independently and proactively
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a number of important daily tasks including upward management
  • Thrives in a fast paced and high pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of the Theatre and Performing Arts scene in Los Angeles is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well across teams
  • Ability to analyze data to form recommendations on how to grow sales for partners
  • Previous experience with a CRM is a plus, but not required
