As a result of the continued growth, in both products and markets, the expectations on Tink increase as well. To continue our journey to success, we are now looking for a legal counsel to join our legal team.

As a legal counsel with data and privacy as focus, you will contribute to the development of Tink’s privacy function together with the lead privacy counsel. You will play a key role in forming Tink’s privacy programme, including its subsidiaries across Europe.

As a legal counsel with data and privacy as focus, you will contribute to the development of Tink’s privacy function together with the lead privacy counsel. You will play a key role in forming Tink’s privacy programme, including its subsidiaries across Europe.

This role will challenge your legal acumen and analytical skills. You will be able to contribute to Tink reaching its goal of becoming the world’s leading open banking platform, by supporting Tink’s commercial, product and engineering teams with proactive and innovative legal advice. As part of our team, you will have a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of business, technology and regulation, and shape the development of new financial technologies.

What you will do

Focus areas will include data privacy, commercial contracts and regulatory frameworks and you will have opportunities to be involved in all aspects of the company’s privacy operations. Depending on the candidate's skills, interests and business needs, s/he will:

Advise colleagues at all levels within the business regarding data privacy legislation and acting as a subject-matter expert within the legal team;

Assist our legal counsels with privacy expertise in contract negotiations and act as a point of escalation in customer discussions;

Provide legal guidance on privacy impact assessments;

Assist in responding to data subject requests;

Assist with incident response, including security breach notifications;

Provide privacy training to colleagues and manage external-facing privacy information;

Monitoring legal and regulatory trends and analysing their impact on Tink and its business functions.

We’re looking for an unpretentious, ambitious and down-to-earth individual with excellent legal skills who meets the following requirements, to join our team:

Master of Laws (MLL) from a reputable university or law school;

Two to three years’ experience as in-house legal counsel and/or from a reputable law firm;

Experience providing practical advice to clients on data use and privacy issues;

Business-oriented and able to provide practical and actionable advice in a clear and friendly way;

Has a passion to engage deeply with complex data use and privacy issues;

Excellent communication skills and a cooperative mindset aimed at adding value to Tink’s business will be very important;

Proficiency in written and spoken English (other major European languages would be considered a plus);

Experience from tech and PaaS/SaaS operating models is meriting.
