Head #092-Intermediate Supervision or #110 Supervisor Certification is eligible to apply.  Candidate will have instructional and departmental responsibilities for the effective implementation of the curriculum, literacy school improvement plans and instructional programs. The candidate will manage and support teachers in the General Education Department (TESOL, English, Health/PE and Social Studies). Candidate will assume a leadership role at the school level for literacy.  Application materials should document experience, skills and training in effective teaching and instructional leadership related to: STAR/AR implementation and progress monitoring, literacy and literacy interventions, CT Core ELA Standards implementation, professional development planning and implementation, effective standards-based lesson planning, differentiated instruction, SRBI, positive classroom management and climate strategies, blended/flex learning (including mobile devices) for delivery of instruction and submittal of student work,  integration of 21st Century instructional technology, use of varied assessments that support high stakes testing, data-driven decision-making, TEAM and Teacher Evaluation and Support. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, students and staff. The candidate should possess effective time management and organizational skills.
